Each member of the Meyers Transportation Services team is committed to utilizing new enviro-friendly technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase fuel efficiency. This year we have made it a top priority to put these initiatives in place and have made great progress “On the Road to Green”.

This commitment is personified with our “On the Road to Green” 3D trailer wrap launched in June 2008 which features the under trailer air deflectors and super single tires. Other initiatives include:

• Governing our trucks to limit fuel consumption and speeding
• Auto-select transmissions which reduce pollution
• Using the Eaton Vorad system which discourages tailgating, thus improving our safety record and boosting our fuel efficiency
• Tractors with APU's (giving air conditioning and heat to the trucks without running the main engine)
• The use of decker trailers that allow for safe stacking of pallets, reducing the number of trucks on the road
